Nick… todays special guest is none other than my dad. For those of you who know me, you know I am not the niftiest person in the kitchen. So, I am going to learn from the best of the best, starting with my dad. I’m not just saying this because he’s my dad, but he really is quite the chef; anything from a juicy steak, to grilled salmon, or even melt in your mouth French toast—he can make it, and he can make it good. In this episode my dad makes one of his Macedonian specials that makes for an excellent appetizer!
Ingredients (feeds about 15-20 people)
- 2 Tbls Butter
- 10-20 Pitas (depending on people and hunger)
- 7 Basil leaves
- 7 Hungarian peppers
- 3 Chili Peppers
- 1 Can/ 28oz UNICO whole tomato
- 1 Can/ 28oz UNICO crushed tomato
- 1 Can/ 5.5oz UNICO Tomato paste
- 1 Garlic clove
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic Powder
